Apartments
Our apartments in the Pálava region
Each house has one larger apartment and one more compact one. House no. 6 is a mirror image of House no. 5. All are two-room apartments for three guests (a bedroom plus a living room with a kitchenette), each with its own covered terrace.
The complex
What comes with your apartment
The complex is gated and reserved for the people staying there. It isn't a resort with a reception desk and a restaurant. It's a quiet street of two houses with four apartments, a garden, a pool and a view of Pálava.
Private pool
An outdoor pool for guests only, open from May to September.
Covered terrace
Every apartment has its own terrace with pergola, seating and barbecue.
Bike store with charging
A lockable bike store with sockets for e-bikes. The loop around the reservoirs runs right through Strachotín.
Parking by your door
One space per apartment, inside the complex. No hunting for a spot, no fees.
Children's playground
A playground right in the complex, for guests only. You can keep an eye on the children from the terrace.
Gated entrance
Only guests can enter the complex. No through traffic, no passers-by.

In the apartment
- Air conditioning and underfloor heating
- Fully equipped kitchen
- Walk-in shower
- Wi-Fi in every apartment
- Beds for three guests
- Living room with dining table
What the complex doesn't have
A marina, a beach or a restaurant. The complex is called Marina Resort, but it's a quiet street of houses with a garden and a pool. The water is a five-minute walk away, Strachotín has a wine bar in the village, and you'll find restaurants in Dolní Věstonice and Pavlov.
The area
What you can fit into a day
Four trips that each fill a whole day. You'll find the rest of the area in the strip just below the top of the page.

Along the dam to Dolní Věstonice
Flat all the way on a concrete path separate from the road. Easy with a pushchair or a child on a bike. At the end: the Venus of Dolní Věstonice and the Pálava Nature House.

Loop around the reservoirs
An easy cycle route with 130 m of climbing that runs right through Strachotín. Eighty per cent tarmac. You can charge your e-bike in the bike store.

Hike up to Děvičky
The most photographed ruin in South Moravia. Seven kilometres to Pavlov, then a steep kilometre up. A new viewing platform awaits at the top.

Aqualand Moravia
Sixteen pools and twenty-eight slides in Pasohlávky, seventeen minutes by car. Your back-up plan for a rainy day, and the only thing that will keep the kids busy all day.
Gallery
Evenings end on the terrace
In South Moravia it's still pleasant at ten in the evening. Strachotín has five wineries, all within walking distance, so you can stroll over for a bottle.

FAQ
Your most common questions
How many people can stay in an apartment?
Every apartment has two rooms – a bedroom and a living room with a kitchenette – and sleeps up to three guests. Apartments 2 and 4 have the more spacious layouts, 1 and 3 the more compact ones. The amenities are the same.
Is there a reception desk?
No. Check-in is self-service, and you'll receive the door code by email the day before. Pavel lives in Strachotín, so if you need anything, he's just round the corner.
How far is it to the water?
The Věstonice Reservoir dam is 0.4 km away, a five-minute walk along a concrete path straight from the complex. The nearest beaches are in Pasohlávky, 12 km along the cycle path around the reservoir.
Can we bring a dog?
No, we do not allow dogs or any other pets in our apartments. This is to ensure 100% cleanliness and to be considerate of guests with allergies, for whom we want to provide a safe and comfortable environment. Thank you for your understanding.
Where can we go shopping?
Right in Strachotín there's a COOP shop, a Partner post office and a Z-BOX parcel locker, all within a four-minute walk. The five wineries in the village are open in the evening too.
When is the best time to come?
July and August for the warm water and the beaches. May, June and September are cheaper, quieter and nicer for cycling. In autumn, people come for the grape harvest and the open wine cellars.
